Sculpting
My work continues on vintage bird mounts from the Forest Lodge Estate. While there is always a level of opportunity for incorporating artwork into my duties, this week I specifically explored sculpting. Layers of keratin have flaked off this eagle's beak, which I need to build back up. To do that, I use a moldable epoxy which loosely resembles the air-dry clay I used in elementary art class. I will finish up by sanding the epoxy to a near-perfect shape, and add painted detail to the restored beak.
