A Night Scene Takes Shape!

Moving up from the wetland, a forest floor begins to take shape. Deep folds of chicken wire and dirt-brown fabric line the floor, as tall grasses conceal unidentifiable glowing eyes. This isn't the same process that Mother Nature follows, but it is how a diverse habitat is created for a museum display.

As we continue to make progress on our nocturnal exhibit, a nighttime scene is taking shape. Once open to the public, owls, flying squirrels, and a bobcat will join other specimens on display in Mysteries of the Night.
